Directions

I. Get to Gate 1

  1. 1. Starting from Wilkesboro, NC on 421 N turn right at N Carolina 16 N
  2. 2. Turn right at Old North Carolina 16 N, drive a long winding road for 6mi
  3. 3. During the drive you will have passed 2 bridges. Right before the third bridge turn right onto a dirt driveway with a gate labeled Blue River Cabin or Cabin 6180

II. Unlock Gate 1

  1. 1. Find a key box attached to the left post of the gate
  2. 2. Use the received gate combination from your reservation receipt
  3. 3. Unlock the gate and place the key back with the same combination

III. Get to Gate 2

  1. 1. Place your car into 2nd gear and drive about 1mi on a gravel mountain road
  2. 2. Follow all Blue River Cabin or Cabin 6180 signs
  3. 3. At the end you will reach the final gate, Gate 2

IV. Unlock Gate 2

  1. 1. Find a key box attached to the gate
  2. 2. Use the received gate combination from your reservation receipt
  3. 3. Unlock the gate and keep the key in the lockbox
    (to avoid locking yourself out)

V. Arrive at the Blue River Cabin

  1. 1. Drive 400 feet after your mountainous drive to reach the Blue River Cabin
  2. 2. Use the received door combination from your reservation receipt
  3. 3. Keep the key until you are leaving for the last time
